Liberals Are Juveniles Conservatives Are Adults

Liberals Are Juveniles Conservatives Are Adults

A peevish, fuming and childish atmosphere pervades liberals’ meetings and/or ‘conventions’. As witnessed and reported of recent DNC Chair Howard Dean and Al Gore “speeches” to the Kool-Aid drinking New Democrat faithful, the assembled liberal and leftist groups tend to prefer bathroom humor and enraged and outrageous statements and behaviors to realistic problem solving techniques. Pertinent plans and programs need not be addressed at these assemblies. If any real ideas actually were presented, more likely than not, they wouldn’t be understood by these congregations. Only the petulant screamings and shoutings of their leaders are acceptable to the neo-lib throngs. Sensible comments—either common or rare—are not permitted.

One very positive thing that may be said for Democrat “leaders” is that they do know the right fodder to feed their base. Even though many liberals are vegans, they still greedily chomp down on their leaders’ thrown red meat of “hate Bush”, “hate conservatives” and “hate all Republicans”; except the liberal ones (AKA RINOs) that Dems can manipulate and use to their advantage. Remember one of Dean’s infamous rabble-rousing-for-the-masses comments made at the NY Roosevelt Hotel—just prior to his gaining the position of DNC Chair? Dean’s astounding and leader-like comments were: “I hate Republicans. Republicans are evil. Republicans never did an honest day’s work in their lives. The Republican Party is pretty much a white Christian Party.” Wild and unbridled applause followed Dean’s statements. This is what the Democrat base wants and needs—red meat, circuses and unbridled hatred of those who don’t believe in their “non-belief in anything relevant or purposeful”. Doesn’t make sense to you? Neither do they or their “non-messages”. This is the resuscitated insanity that the country would be subjected to should the Neo-libs and the Old leftists ever get back into power. Scary, isn’t it?

On the other side of the fence (a very high and deeply grounded fence), we have the conservatives. Conservatism is not a Political Party. Conservatives are adults. At some point in their early lives, current conservatives may have been liberals. That was before they made the conscious decision to grow up and take responsibility for their lives. Although conservatives do say negative things about the opposition (more often than not these would include comments about the neo-liberals and ultra-leftists), they typically argue their points based upon facts—not on emotion. Conservatives will quote precisely what the liberal has said and generally provide the dates and/or locations at which the comments were made. Then, the neo-lib (even though the conservative may have its statements on video or DVD) will invariably say: “My comments were taken out of context.” Hmmm. This consistent argument from the left-of-center is used frequently and begs the old and tired question (which is also often implied): “Do you believe me or your lying eyes—or ears?” Note: The difference with the conservative, when he or she really is taken out of context, is that the conservative can and will prove it.

Conservatives are being assailed by the nasty and snappish Left on an almost daily basis. As an example of the pettiness of the irresponsible left, there is its current poster boy. You’ve gotta’ love this Travis County district attorney Ronnie Earle character. When you look up idiot-leftist, his photo appears. Note: Sorry for the ad hominem. I simply couldn’t resist.

This ostensible ‘man-of-the-law’ Earle filed an indictment (after 10 years of trying to get Rep. Tom DeLay on something-or-anything and 3 years of trying to file ‘criminal conspiracy’ charges against him) that was so flawed (IE not prosecutable) that he had to go back and re-work it. He was then able to inveigle a grand jury, that had been seated for 1 (one) day, to again charge DeLay—with the “new and improved” indictment.
Of particular interest is the grand jury foreman, Mr. William Gibson, who voted in favor of Earle’s first DeLay indictment. Gibson told KLBJ 590 AM Radio host Mark Caesar that he had made up his mind as to DeLay’s guilt before he had seen any evidence! Question: Is that even legal? OOPS! I’ll bet Mr. Gibson is sorry he opened his mouth and told the truth. I guess that’s another one of those “out of context liberal things”. Of course, Gibson tried to rescind his comment by saying at a later date that he’d looked at all of the evidence before making his decision. Uh-huh. Sure he had. But, unfortunately for him, the proverbial cat was already out-of-the-bag. As Earle strongly appears to grand-jury-shop (that’s one of DeLay’s counter-charges against him), I’ll bet he LOVES this Gibson character. One has to wonder if the other grand jurors, who indicted DeLay, were created in the same mold as was Gibson. Or, perhaps chosen for their opinions?
Earle is a self-proclaimed liberal Democrat who has a long and rich history of going after his political enemies (AKA “prey”), by using his clout as district attorney. Many of his cases have been thrown out of court for lack of evidence and the political frivolity of the cases. Are leftist district attorneys in Texas allowed to circumvent the law—or use their clout to destroy those who disagree with them? It seems the answer is “yes”—at least in Travis County.
The Houston Chronicle and Dallas Times have each written less than laudatory articles on Earle’s usage of his office to ‘punish’ his detractors. And National Review Online writes: "Ronnie Earle, the Texas prosecutor who has indicted associates of House Majority Leader Tom DeLay in an ongoing campaign-finance investigation, dropped felony charges against several corporations indicted in the probe in return for the corporations' agreement to make five- and six-figure contributions to one of Earle's pet causes." Question 2: Isn’t that called a kick-back—or maybe even extortion? Are the liberal and leftist children allowed to get away with this, too? Sort of looks, sounds and smells like it. Whew! Apparently the law no longer exists in Travis County, TX—unless it’s “Ronnie’s law”. The phrase “the liberals mess it up and leave it to conservatives to clean it up” comes to mind. But, grownup conservatives have always had to scour the leavings of the adolescent Left.
Liberal foolishness and its feigned tolerance have become legendary. But as the “elite” of our society cast themselves as members of that group, it is not only accepted—it is applauded! I believe liberals are the way they are (when I was a child I too was a liberal) because they refuse to grow up and face reality. However, some hold other viewpoints on the issue. I’m going to close with one of those most erudite ‘other viewpoints’ in statements made by Dr. Jack Wheeler, from his essay “Why Liberals are Incapable of Defending America”: “Liberalism is thus not a political ideology or set of beliefs. It is an envy-deflection device, a psychological strategy to avoid being envied. Liberalism is the politicalization of envy-appeasement.” That, coupled with the liberal “Peter Pan syndrome” (*more on this at a later time), pretty much says it all.
